SECURITY, SOFTWARE, AND CODE SETS

During July and August, 2003, the Arkansas Division of Medical Services and EDS invited all Arkansas health care providers to attend a seminar focusing on security and billing changes due to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Sessions were offered for a week each in Monticello, Hope, Springdale, and West Memphis. Sessions were offered twice a day for two weeks in Little Rock. Each four-hour seminar concentrated on professional claims plus one other claim type.
