FOCUS ON PRIVACY
2002 HIPAA Outreach

From October 22 to November 1, 2002, the Arkansas Division of Medical Services and EDS invited all Arkansas health care providers to attend sessions of the HIPAA Focus on Privacy seminar--a continuation of the 2002 HIPAA Outreach program--held at five locations across the state. Each free three-hour session concentrated on the privacy rule of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. A HIPAA privacy attorney was available to answer questions about the rule.
